Kidany Camilo (Playwright/Abuela)
Kidany Camilo (Any and All) is a Chicago-based theatre artist from Bayamón, Puerto Rico. They draw their artistry from their training in devised theatre, their fascination with exploring avant-garde movements, and the works of Federico García Lorca. Recent directing credits include: frikiNation (Urban Theatre Co.), The Pilón (The Understudy), and Gay Panic: Los Expulsados del Paraíso (Urban Theatre Co.). Recent acting credits include: Onilé Iyá (Aguijón Theatre), Fefu and Her Friends (Snails on a Bike), The Vote (Significant Productions). Omar Fernandez (Lead Producer)
Omar Vicente Fernandez (he/him/el) is a Mexican American artist born in Chicago and raised in Berwyn, Illinois. As a playwright, Omar centers a lot of his work around identity and the new generation of art in America. Directing credits include: The American Dream by Juan Ramirez, Jr. as part of the 6th Annual Destinos Festival; What Earth Does While You're Sleeping by Alaric Hinchcliffe; Not A Christmas Carol which he adapted for the stage, Sex, Alchemy, and Mayan Mischief by William Gregory (2nd annual Inicios Festival with the Chicago Latino Theatre Alliance), Qualia (Midwest Premiere) by Ashleigh Ann Gardner, and summertime, an interlude (UIC School of Theatre & Music). Omar is a founding member and Artistic Director of Subtext Studio.
Raquel Torre (Director)
Raquel Torre González (she/her/ella) is a theatremaker from Puerto Rico based in Chicago. With a background in: devised theatre, physical performance, and community-grounded spectacle, she's been creating, directing, producing, and performing in all types of theatrical productions for almost two
decades. Interests include: multigenerational performance, high physicality in theatre, new play development, magical realism, diasporic nostalgia, and community engagement. Currently, Raquel is the 2024-2025 Maggio Directing Fellow at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. Since 2013, she's been creating original work through La Vuelta Ensemble (formerly Circo La Vuelta) with her partner Jean Claudio, focusing on high physicality and delightful
absurdity. Raquel holds a BA in theatre from the Universidad de Sagrado Corazón (Puerto Rico), a certificate in Devised Theatre and Movement from Cabuia Teatro (Argentina), and an MFA in Devised Performance Practice
from LISPA/Columbia College Chicago (Berlin/Chicago). Since 2016, she's been privileged to have collaborated with companies such as UrbanTheater company, Teatro Vista, Steppenwolf Theatre, Shattered Globe Theatre, Physical
Theater Festival, Lifeline Theatre, Filament Theatre, The Gift Theatre, among others.

Laura Rodriguez Sierra (Dramaturg)
Laura Rodriguez Sierra (she/ella) is a recent 2025 graduate from The Theatre School at DePaul University. She has a BFA in Dramaturgy/Criticism with a double major in Media & Cinema Studies, and a minor in English Literature. Miss Rodriguez Sierra is a Puerto Rican artist who enjoys writing, music, learning and educating, and working on new plays!
Nelson A. Rodriguez (Ensemble #1)
Nelson A. Rodriguez (he/him/his) is an actor and playwright. As an actor, he is a two time Jeff Award nominee whose credits include Steppenwolf, Lookingglass, Oak Park Festival, Raven, Visión Latino, Subtext Studio, The Story, Teatro Vista, and many more. His on-camera credits include the feature films "En Algun Lugar" for which he received a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the International Film Festival and "Soul Sessions." Mr. Rodriguez is represented by Grossman & Jack Talent. @nelstar_rodriguez
Ana Santos (Ensemble #2)
Ana Santos (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist from Cidra, Puerto Rico, whose work as an actress, singer, director, and teaching artist reflects a lifelong commitment to culture, community, and social change. She studied Sociology and Theater at the University of Puerto Rico, where she was introduced to Augusto Boal’s transformative Theatre of the Oppressed. Ana further honed her craft through the Performance Art Immersion Program at the University of Nebrija in Spain and the Improvisation Immersion Program at The Second City in Chicago.
Her early artistic roots with Atelier Teatral, Ágora Teatro, and the University of Puerto Rico Choir laid the foundation for a rich performance career. Internationally, she has performed in Exercise of Style at the Franche-Comté International Theater Festival in France, Six Characters in Search of an Author, Hamlet, Gato Negro, The Chairs, Ellas y su Musa, Adasa with Teatro de la Abadía in Spain, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Ballajá. In Chicago recent productions include The Vagina Monologues with Grinlight Theater, Perfectamente loca (dramatized reading, part of the Carnival festival of new works at DePaul University,) Tren al Sur with Santodomingo Productions, In the Heights with Vision Latino Company, La casa de Bernarda Alba with LatinUs Theater Company, Lorca - Living the Experience with Water People Theater and Measure for measure with The Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Her works with AguijónTheater, where she is an ensemble member, include La Chunga, Epopeya, Adverses, Romeo y Julieta, Mano a Mano, Brutality, Casa propia and La gran Tirana: Descarga dramática.
As a vocalist, Ana has collaborated with artists and groups including David Hernández and Street Sounds, NuBambu, Dos Santos Anti-Beat Orquesta, and Musicality. She is a recipient of numerous honors, including the Key to the City of Cidra, a 2018 3Arts Make a Wave Award, the 2019 and 2020 ALTA Awards for Outstanding Performance, the 2020 Latino Awards Chicago for Outstanding Actor, and the 2023 Non-Equity Jeff Award for Performer in a Principal Role. She was also a 2024 Jeff Award nominee. Ana continues to use her artistry as a powerful tool to uplift Latinx stories and voices, creating space for expression, dialogue, and transformation.
Joseph Antonio (Ensemble #3)
Joseph Antonio (he/him) is an actor, dancer, and instructor from the beautiful Central Coast of California. Joseph, or Joey, loves to perform new works and is invested in creating and maintaining an artistic community. Currently, Joey is a Meisner instructor at The Green Shirt Studio and an understudy in the production of The Curious Circumstances of Louis Le Prince at the Factory Theater.
