Saving Myself

by Maria Arreola

Proud to be a part of:

Destinos, the 8th Chicago Annual International Latino Theater Festival

At Saint Barbara, another year means another retreat heralding the perilousness of premarital sex and the importance of abstinence. For this reason (among others), Hana is convinced that hell on earth exists at the young women’s retreat. Elena finds the experience quite life-affirming and Idalia has no idea what awaits her. With no adults in sight, this year’s retreat will be unlike any before.

Runtime: 90 minutes with no intermission.

Post-show discussions will follow the Friday, October 3, 7:30 p.m. performance and the Saturday, October 18, 2:30 p.m. performance.
